Collaborative Displays

One of my favorite lessons to do with students is large-scale collaborative projects. Here are a few examples.

School Branding

I designed my school's mascot and was responsible for creating logos, posters, banners, and everything else that included it. I also may have worn the mascot suit a few times.

District Art Show

Part of my job as a K-5 art teacher is being responsible for preparing and displaying student work for the K-12 district art show.

Field Trips

Every year I take my fifth graders on a field trip to the Detroit Institute of Art as a culmination of their art curriculum.

Teaching in Japan

From 2011-2012 I worked for the AEON corporation in Hiroshima, Japan teaching English to students of all ages, from preschoolers to retirees.

Student Teaching

In 2010 I student taught in the Ann Arbor school district. Half of my time was spent at Pioneer High School and the other half was at Abbott Elementary.
